2011/2012 Initiates End-Time?

September 7, 2011

The longest time-prophecy in the Bible points to 2011/2012 as the beginning of end-times. But before we look at how this is so, our interest should be aroused by knowing that the Mayan Calendar ends in 2012, and the Gregorian Calendar that we use will be 430 years old in 2012.

430 years of a pope’s calendar reminds us that Israel was under an Egyptian calendar for 430 years when the Exodus occurred, Exodus 12:41. Will we see another Exodus? Biblical information suggests an Exodus for 2012. Here’s how…

God promised to bless Israel in their land if they obeyed Him, but said they would be scattered among the nations if they went against His teachings in the book of Deuteronomy.

God told Ezekiel to lie on his side for 390 days, each day for a year that Israel was in apostasy. Ezekiel 4:5. But we forget that God said He would punish them “seven-times more” if they didn’t learn (Leviticus 26:21,24)  They continued to walk contrary to Him and went into captivity . 7 x 390 years is 2730 years.

We know the history of how the 10 northern tribes were taken captive to Damascus by the Assyrians. You can Google Assyrian Captivity, 720 BC and find it as a starting point. Subtracting 720 years from 2730, we come to 2010, but there was no year “0,” so it ends in 2011.

Historically, when the Persian king, Artaxerxes, released Israelites in 457 BC, it was in the fall, but they didn’t leave till the following spring. This model may support similar timing for us with something coming soon and an opportunity for return to Israel for God’s people, spiritual Israel.

Who is Israel? The Bible says, “If you are Christ’s, you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise,” Galatians 3:29. We don’t need blood lines; this is a spiritual thing. Those who honor the Bible and return to the Promised Land after the end of the prophetic time period will be spared huge trouble when New World Order is set up and “no man can buy or sell” without the mark of false worship, Revelation 13:15-17.

One thing that would be helpful to this discussion is to recognize a previous fulfillment of the “2520” year prophecy from the days of Wm Miller that occurred as a double time prophecy. The first began with the scattering of the 10 Northern tribes of Israel in 723BC and came to an end in 1798. The second began in 677BC and ended in 1844. These were both based upon the understanding of Lev. 25 and Lev 26. Daniel testifies to the ending of each of these time prophecies–the first in Dan 12:7 where it says God had accomplished the scattering of his holy people and the 2nd in Dan 8:19 when he gives a 2nd testimony to the end of the 2300 days of Dan 8:14 which when calculated from 457 BC ended in 1844. In Dan 8:19 it says “in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.” If there is a last end it is logical that there would also be a first end. The indignation is another word the Bible also uses to describe the scattering of God’s people as promised by God in Lev. 26 if they turned away from following God law’s, statutes and judgements. In Daniel prayer of Dan 9, he shows that he is living under this curse of Moses (see Dan 9:11-14). He was already living under part of its fulfillment. The 7x’s can be calculated based upon 360 days of the Jewish calander / year X 7 =2520. This prophecy is portrayed on the Millerite chart of 1843 and also on a subsequent chart in 1850 in which a correction was made to rectify a calculation error when going from BC to AD using mathematics.

Thank you for your great summary of some current belief re a double application of 7 x 360 = 2520 with two starting points. I agree with the point of 7 x (Lev 26:18,21,24,28) but see the period as 7 x 390 because that time is speciied in Ezekiel 4:5 for Israel. 7 X 390 = 2730, and Googling Assyrian Captivity, 720 BC is a date I found. 2730 minus 720 = 2010, but with no year “0” it is 2011, and the Jewish year that began at Rosh Hashanah last fall is still going. Something huge could happen before Rosh Hashanah this fall. If I were picking dates, July 30 is the 10th day of the 5th Jewish month when Solomon’s Temple burned (Jer 52:12,13) and Herod’s Temple also burned on that date according to Josephus. We don’t have long to “wait and see!” Thank you for sharing your perspective!
