How to Survive the End Times, Economy

March 4, 2009

“The time to plan apricots is when everyone else is pulling theirs out to plant cherries.”  Thinking “outside the box” is essential and the best guide to unconventional thinking is the all-time best-seller, the Bible! Consider these insights—

When God got ready to liberate Israel from Egypt, He attacked the gods of Egypt—the Nile turned to blood, the worshipped cattle and they got disease. And frogs? They were suddenly everywhere!

Money is our god and it has to go, and it is going! There is G-20 talk and decisions last November will integrate us fully with the European Union. Not what we want, but we are moving toward global government.

As with Israel in Egypt, the time of our deliverance is soon. God took His people out of calamity to a covenant relationship at Sinai and He later said, “I am married unto you.” Jeremiah 3:14.

Using similar imagery, Christ’s wedding parables offer the message, “the Bridegroom comes!” Matthew 25:6. This is not about His coming in the sky. It’s about His taking us out of calamity, based on biblical decisions we make in a crisis, to covenant relationship with Him as He did for Israel.

Speaking of Israel’s experience in passing through the sea, Paul writes, “All these things happened unto them for examples [the margin says “types”] and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world come.” 1Corinthians 10:1,11.

For a better understanding,

“Rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted… You have heaped treasure together for the last days.” James 5:1-3.

Prophecy is fulfilling. Rich men are in pain. We expect an earthquake that initiates the apocalypse of Revelation when nations will move toward New World Order and a cashless society of antichrist, 666.

To survive the end times, we must base our lives on the Bible. If you have not done so, and you do not know the Lord as a loving Savior who can get you through any crisis, please visit and download a free copy of Keys to Happiness It is a classic book that has been translated into 100 languages. Millions have appreciated this non-denominational book.

I was shown Ezekial:9 some years ago and have always thought that spoke to the coming times, and particularly to organized church leadership. I also tend to favor “overkill” when it comes to interpreting scripture, giving more weight to ideas supported by several scriptures as opposed to a singular reference. Ezekial:9 has lots of scriptual company.

Thank you for your comment, and I think many look for Ezekiel 9 to be future. I think we should keep in mind the cyclical nature of prophecy and in this case, I believe there will be parallel applications at the beginning of the last seven years as well as the end. For example, Christ comes on a white horse in Rev 19:11, but a message of truth by an anointed group may be represented by the white horse in Rev 6:1. Both are preceded by a great earthquake (Rev 16:18-20) and encoded as a lion’s “roar” in Rev 6:1 if you compare Rev 4:7 and 5:5, it’s the Lion of Juhah. “The Lord also shall roar…and the heavens and earth shall shake.”
So also with the slaying in Ezek 9, not only at the end, but Mal 3:1-3 says “He shall purify the sons of Levi” (and that won’t happen at the 2nd coming, so we should expect the event to impact the ministry at the beginning of the end-times (soon!)
